Could this be how god-belief got its start?

 

 

 

Which is more believable?

 

A)      That an invisible magic being truly exists, wished the universe into existence, entrusted its “revelation” to a group of anonymous nobodies, got angry at them for not doing what it had originally foreordained them to do in the first place, came down to earth as one of them and turned water into wine, choreographed its own death to appease its own lust for blood, sacrifice and death, sprang back up three days later and inspired a “gospel” which only a tiny minority of believers ever gets right…

 

OR

 

B)      That primitives who had no scientific understanding of natural phenomena like volcanoes, thunderstorms and earthquakes imagined a conscious being in back of it all to “account for” the things they did not know and understand?
